The main advantage of digital cameras is that you can take the same picture repeatedly, until you find the correct settings. Before deleting the extra pictures, you may consider loading them in PhotoAcute Studio to increase the quality of your best photo. The application will overlap them and use their various settings to make a single, high quality image. It will increase the resolution, without affecting the quality, reduce noise, correct image geometry and more. Although it sounds complicated, you do not have to worry about options that are too difficult to handle. The software's interface is built in such a way that even beginners can use it without any problems.

The setup kit is a bit large (23,7 Mb) and it may take longer to download with a weak Internet connection. When it is done, you will have to go through a standard setup procedure which does not involve any advanced configurations. Once you are done, the application will be installed swiftly.

The entire process requires going through four stages. You will have to load multiple photos, taken from the same angle. The core functions can be found during the second step and they are not hard to understand. You may choose one or more actions, like increasing the picture's resolution, blending into an HDR image, expanding its depth of field, fixing chromatic aberrations and correcting the image geometry.

According to what action you select, certain options will be made available or faded, on the left side of the interface. For example, if you select the "Increase resolution" option, you will have to select the used camera, model and lens, from separate drop menus. A particular set of options will be available at all times, regardless of what you select. You need to specify if you held the camera in your hands or if you used a tripod, select a spatial alignment and what picture to use as the base image. It can be the first in the list, the one with the best exposure, less blurred or one of your choosing. If you are not expanding the image's depth of field, you may also take moving objects into consideration or set the application to remove ghosts.

When you are done with the configuration, you can proceed to the next stage. The software will start processing the images right away, without prompting you for anything. When it is done, you will find the result on the interface's fourth page, where you can also find the option for saving it in JPEG, TIFF, HDR or EXR format.

Pros

PhotoAcute Studio performs advanced actions on your pictures and all you have to do is make a few selections. It is capable of increasing a picture's resolution, removing noise and other tasks. It supports numerous cameras, from mobile phones, to high end DSLR cameras.

Cons

The software does not support too many output formats. Thanks to its advanced features, PhotoAcute Studio will boost the quality of your photos. The simple design of the interface makes the software accessible even to first time users.
